Mark brings a wealth of Insurance & Tech Platform experience to his role as CEO of InShare. Prior to founding InShare with Sean Fitzsimmons, Mark led a global team responsible for Uber’s insurance claims function.

Before Uber, Mark served as Chief Claims Officer for Aviva Canada in Toronto. He has also held a number of senior leadership roles at Travelers, including International Claim VP, GL Claim VP, Middle Market Claims Lead, and Group General Counsel. Earlier in his career, Mark was a trial lawyer with leading NY and DC-based law firms.

Mark is a graduate of Penn State and George Washington University law school. He and his wife, Dana, reside in Scottsdale, AZ and have two children.

Co-Founder and CRO Sean Fitzsimmons has been fortunate to have lived in the start-up world of Uber and Lyft for the past 5 years where he gained a solid understanding of the sharing economy industry and the need to be innovative in dealing with fast growth and constant change.

Sean’s core focus at Uber was to manage the global corporate risk of the company across 70+ countries and to build scalable insurance products to meet customers needs in North America. Sean initially started his career out as a reinsurance broker at Guy Carpenter & Company (MMC) before moving to Aviva to focus on growing their multinational portfolio and developing new affinity programs in the Arabian Gulf. Sean gained additional expertise as head of risk management at CSAA (a AAA Insurer) and Hewlett Packard.

Sean earned his MBA from the University of Cape Town and obtained his undergraduate degree in business from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Pooya Sarabandi

Pooya is an InsurTech veteran, who has built and scaled up several startups. For past two decades he has been focused on developing analytical solutions and risk models for insurance, and financial industries. Pooya’s expertise and passion lies in predictive modeling, analytics and data sciences, AI and ML, risk modeling, blockchain/DLT, digital transformation, and innovation.

Prior to joining InShare, Pooya co-founded StandardC (a risk analytics, compliance and payment platform for insurance companies and banks.) He was the VP and Global Head of Data Analytics and Exposure Modeling at RMS (a leading global provider of risk modeling - a subsidiary of Moody Corporation.) Pooya has also been an advisor to The World Bank and Allianz as well as a pioneering product owner in several start-ups focusing on application of computer vison, image processing and predictive modeling in disaster risk management and IoT spaces.

Pooya holds a PhD and a Master’s degree from Stanford University and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Tehran. Pooya, his wife and their two children live in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.

Tom joined InShare as its SVP of Commercial Operations where he will drive the creation, launching and managing of new innovative programs.

Tom comes to InShare from Uber where he served as their senior risk manager. In addition to his corporate insurance responsibilities at Uber, Tom also spent time developing insurance program solutions for upcoming technologies including Uber Freight, ATG (autonomous vehicles), Uber Elevate (future of urban air mobility), JUMP (micro mobility with ebikes and scooters), and Uber Works.

Prior to his work at Uber, Tom had over 20 years as the head of risk management for several top 50 trucking companies. During his time in the trucking sector, Tom gained extensive experience in risk control, alternative risk transfer techniques, and in developing strategies for obtaining the best possible outcome for work injuries.

Tom is a graduate of Washington University with a degree in Mathematics.

Andy is a transformational expert focused on leveraging technology to drive results.

Andy is President and Chief Operating Officer at Snapsheet. Over his twenty-plus years in the insurance industry, Andy has led growth and change strategies by leveraging technology at CNA and Travelers to improve operational efficiencies and achieve profitable growth. Andy holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington and has authored articles and white papers for the Wall Street Journal, Best Review Magazine, and Carrier Management. Outside of Snapsheet, Andy serves on the advisory board for Mylo, a Lockton-backed digital insurance broker. Additionally, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids and playing golf.

Rocker has over 43 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has served in a number of executive positions including President of Aon’s global Reinsurance division and Chief Operating Officer of its North American Retail and Wholesale divisions. In addition to his operational roles, Rocker was a principal architect and COO for several of Aon Group’s global initiatives.
